Dunno why.... these days i have been quite sad. Maybe its because:
1. My phone got confiscated because I forgot to turn it off after a badminton match (it rang because another teacher smsed me...)
2. I got scolded by the teacher who smsed me, so I couldnt tell her about my phone. (For using the science lab without her permission. I know im wrong, but im quite disappointed considering the amout of time and effort my group and i put into doing that project...)
3. Lots of datelines to meet... dunno whether i can finish those projects.
4. Didnt do very well for the last term...
5. Not much time for animes...
But there are good things too, so look on the bright side of life, be optimistic!! (telling myself)
Tomorrow will be my school's Learning Journeys Day! Dunno whether I should be happy, though it will be a day off school... cos i was chosen to go to the newater plant!! I would have been a lot more excited if not fot this boring place which I have gone like... 3 times in 3 years!! It is just a small plant introducing what newater is, blah... Okay, so i will just treat tomorrow as a rest day and work on my projects. This Friday will also be another day we will be going for learning journey, but it will be a Chinese one, at the Chinese Heritage Centre. Although it may seem wierd, but I am actually looking forward to the Chinese trip more than the newater trip. Hope that it will be a great chance to have fun with friends!!
Btw, im catching up on Naruto, ever since the long time i have stopped last time. It is really nice!! though im at the filler arc... its enjoyable to watch them get into trouble and have a good laugh, good way to get away from stressful school life.
A few days ago, when my friends and I were out buying things for a project, they remembered that they forgot to buy e a birthday present and decided to buy me a suuper belated one. I was against it, but they dragged me into a shop and forced me to look around. I really did, for 45minutes in that small shop. And still did not find what I wanted. My friends were walking around picking random stuff to ask me. And so, after another 15minutes, I decided that it was enough and, under pressure from my friends, bought some cards to play with them, lol. Although this present is suuper belated and bought under force, it was still a great suprise for me and I really felt touched by them. Im gonna buy them something special too. So happy...
The last few days I have been having kinda like a small break from school, although i still had to go to school, but it was the school's special programme and I was selected (other ppl could choose...) to go for the Maths programme. It wasn't as bad as I thought, but I could have chosen something even better... And I went to the URA (Urban Redevelopment Authority) and the Marina Barrage. I was wondering wat these places had to do with maths all the way, and it didnt. Fortunately, cos I cannot imagine a whole day of maths, maths and maths. So I got lucky and went to this beautiful place, URA. It was very peaceful and quiet and there was also an exhibition on lighting techniques called 'Lighting our Singapore'. The place was quite big and the exhibitions were generally interesting, with 3d models and realistic tech stuff, the place was really an eye opener. I specifically liked the game show called 'Know Your Singapore' with Gurmit Singh as the host. A maximum of 20 ppl were able to play the game at once and we were to answer questions relating to Singapore. Do you know why the tallest buildings in Singapore (280m) are all concentrated in the Central Business District? It is because they are the furthest away from the airports thats why they are allowed to build to that height. And, do you know that if you take all the roads in Singapore and joined them together, they cover the distance from Singapore to Hong Kong? Going back to the topic, the trip to URA was quite fun, errrr.... the Marina Barrage on the other hand wasnt that fun. It was just telling us about the works of the Barrage, what the objective is and how we can help. Then, my group and I had to do a project on the future within two days. I enjoyed myself during the course of this programme and was wishing that it was longer...
