I am currently doing a zuo wen, but got too bored so decided to blog first. lol. Okay, so the past week has been quite 'exciting' cos there were a lot of things for me... First were the tests, Maths and Chinese. They werent too hard so i am hoping i can do well in them. Then was the Maths competition after them. It was not very hard, but nerve wrecking cos we were not allowed to use calculators and had to solve those problems that would have been easy with a calculator, lol. I didnt do well in it, but nevermind. Also there was an unfortunate remedial... i had to go for an extra esson cos I was deemed to weak in a particular subject which im too ashamed to name...(*sob*) The teacher was better than my initial teacher but also not good. i wanted to sleep... listening to all those. I also tried to finish up a research project report but could not cos there were many problems like school's laptop running out of battery, lacking internet access, closing down, etc. The group leader got angry. lol. Next is dramafeste 2007, our school's interhouse drama competition. I loved my house's show. It is titled 'The Shephard Boy' and it was 'The Greatest Show on Earth'! The cast and crew worked very hard and it ended out really well, so I guess that is 'The Price of Paradise'. (The words in inverted commas are the titles for two of the other houses' performances I went to watch). Signs were pasted ALL around the place saying: Copyright No photography or videos. lols. i also went to watch the NDP preview yesterday. It was quite a new experience as it is at a new place (as everyone knows), Marina Bay! I particularly liked this year's 'goodie bags' cos the design is very nice and different colours can be combined. Meaningful in our country too. There was one performance which I had a deep impression on. It was a lighted ship sailing under the bridge that had golden fireworks falling like a shower. The view was exasperating! So, thats about all, hope all of you are enjoying as much as i do! (except a certain part) Btw, I also received news that there is going to be a 'sixoone' class gathering soon. is it true?
Okay hi, im back. So ths month or so i have been doing lots of stuff like doing the post trip things, preparing for competitions, and getting back on track for school. I am quite happy these few weeks cos there are not much big projects and I get to take a short break from CCA. (which proved to be really useful)
I have also learnt a few more stuff at school these few weeks. First, it is how to play a guitar. Classical guitar. Okay, I shouldnt have told you this...cos I am absolutely bad at this. Second is how to use Flash. I learnt this just this year and my good friend taught me more about it too. Then is Visual Basic. It is definitely outdated, lol. But dunno why they teach us this at school, so I just have to learn it. Haha.
Just yesterday, my school released the subject combination choices to us for next year, and i got really excited cos I get to 'abandon' those subjects I dont really like. But on the other hand, people have also been telling me that some of the subjects i wish to drop are very useful and such... so i dont really know what to choose. Hai... nevermind about them, cos eventually i have to make the choice, not them, so...
Yesterday, I also went for an Innovation Fair which is part of an Innovation Programme i took part in. It was quite fun and I was happy to receive my results. The projects I saw were also very eye opening cos they are all original innovations done by students. When I saw some of them, I was wondering why I didnt think of them, lol. I also saw an ex teacher(who didnt recognise me), and a few friends there. Nice to be able to meet them at such a place.
I have also been reading a short play called 'The Mousetrap' by Agatha Christie. It is a detective fiction and I find it really interesting and loved it, how the characters treat each other, their secrets and their backgrounds, which are slowly revealed throughout the story. This story is also the story i chose for a project, so you can say that it served two purposes...
And well thank you everyone!! Please keep tagging!! I really appreciate it!!
