I spent more than 10hours planning for this (quite a lot considering the person is me, lol), and in the end we gave out like the 3000 bookmarks made by my teacher (I know, it was too much). some RInspire issue with our club activities in, and those limited edition RI phonecards! (everyone's favourite, haha) The first day was a long day, cos we had to meet at 8.30am and attend to all those guests like teachers, principals, students and guest-of-honour Prof Amy Khor. There were also only two chairs provided, so many of us couldnt get a seat... (taken by chair and vice chairman, duh, haha) I stood around for quite long and only managed to sit down during the lunch break. Then it was back to work again, until about 4, when I requested to go early (cos I didnt get a seat, lol). (My back still hurts even a few days after this)
The second day was more fun, cos I was a station master for the green game, a game which was played like the amazing race. Teams had to race around Suntec City, answering questions about the environment and deciphering the clues they collected to proceed to the next station. I was stationed at the food court (lol, please note that I didnt eat on duty, maybe except a light snack provided by the teacher, haha). I had this yellow tag, which was the colour code for my staion, but somehow some groups couldnt find me. My partner, Samuel, even had to go and look for some of the groups as they were lost for quite some time, lol.
I have to admit that this year's green game wasnt very well-planned, as there were some misunderstandings and miscalculations, etc. But we all worked very hard for it, and personally I was really happy when I saw all our dreams in reality.
I hope that everyone had lotsa fun at the 'carnival', and looking forward to next year's! Remember to do your part to save our environment, although it might be just a small action like using reusable bags at the supermarket, washing cars with a pail instead of a hose or switching off the lights when you leave a room, it is still valued and if everyone does it, the earth would be much healthier. Do your part to save the environment, and help spread the message!
