PSLE excitement, haha
Sunday, November 25, 2007

Today was pretty boring, woke up, went for a jog, went home, read newspapers, ate lunch at Sakae Sushi (been a long time since I ate there) and now here I am, sitting in front of the com blogging and reading a new comic that I bought! Its the book 2 of Mugen, which is a collection of comics drawn by local artists. Its quite okay, but I bought it mainly to support our local comic scene, and hope it can get better and more popular! The only problem I had is that it is continued from the first book, which I had read a few months ago, so it is a little difficult to recall the storyline for some of those series. I am still thinking of whether one of the series inside is drawn by my computer teacher at school, forgot to ask him the last time, and now it is the holidays, so I guess I just have to wait to find out huh?

Yesterday I went to my grandmother's house as usual on Saturdays, and played xbox with my cousins. We just realised that we could actually use the most powerful attacks in those fighting games, and were experimenting with all the characters. I wasnt very interested though, cos I havent been very good in using special attacks in fighting games, considering my stiff and big fingers... Jim did much bettr than me. A few days ago, 2 of my cousins just got their PSLE results, one of them seemed really satisfied while the other was not really happy with his. Wouldnt want to reveal their results in case they dont wish to, haha, but they werent too bad. I was also helping one of them with choosing their secondary schools, sharing with him my experiences and opinions, but another (older) cousin of mine just told him to look at the part where they show results for O-levels. I didnt think that that should be the way to choose schools, I thought that the other awards like character development, aesthetics, sports, whether it is value-added and the school excellence or distinction awards should be taken into consideration too. Then theres also the CCA section, cos some schools dont offer the CCAs they are interested in or good at. So, since my older cousin says that the academic results are the most important, I just decided to keep my mouth shut and leave the final decision to him. (the one with the results, hopefully) I REALLY hope that the person making the final decision is him himself, and not another person, cos I have encountered some parents or relatives making this important decision themselves! I wish everybody who took PSLE this year all the best in getting into the school(s) of their choice! The Raffles family of schools are really great though! (Sorry for the advertising, couldnt help it, haha)
