Today we took two tests, on geography and chemistry practical. I sort of screwed both up. Geog was okay...cos many people already know the questions before the test, but when I was writing it down, some more thoughts come into mind and confused me. Lol. So I only drew diagrams for the first question in the end, and I thought i was good at diagrams. But sometimes its hard to tell how you will do for the humanities subjects, thats how I feel. Then after school was the chemistry practical, where we had to write out a plan for an experiment. Sitting beside me was Ernest (Rutherford, or so we call him) and so I was lucky, he is the-science-rep, lol. And sitting behind him was Parry and Hiok Yang, but Im confident of their integrity, lols. For the test, I wrote that sugar can be heated to dryness using the bunsen burner...but many said that it would become caramel...and i think thats true...so im dead. and I couldnt find any thing to say about the safety techniques involved, so thats another thing. Wow. Now im just gonna wait to see my results. But the thing is that after the test, I went to eat and when i got to my cca, they told me its over and I just went home, like that. There will still be at least 2 tests next week, Maths and Chemistry(theory). Why, why, must there still be tests on the last week of school...and not to mention the important meeting next week. There are also projects to be finished!! So stressed! Good luck, Jack.

Today at school was pretty much boring except for PE lesson, which was supposed to be Basketball, but we did PT in the end... ran and did push-ups and did shuttle run and stuff...yes, was simple but at least it was something physical and not all studying... Okay then the enjoyable lesson, to me, was the extended Social Studies lesson, cos its always so interesting to look at society and think about it. Dunno why i just like it, haha. We had a discussion on the conflicts in Sri Lanka and thier causes, and my grp had to argue that the Official Language Act was the most impt factor causing the conflicts, and we had a fairly smooth discussion, with the most important point given by ZiHeng, haha. We just worked on his point further and we got a Level 4 answer! (though it was weak, lol) So it was quite fun, but now I have to study for tomorrow's Geography and Chemistry SPA test... (SPA- Science Practical Assessment). Its really really quite boring, the stuff we have to study for tomorrow, so im having some trouble...ok, so back to work- all the homework, revision and projects...

I didnt realise how bad i was feeling yesterday that I didnt write about the movie, lol. Okay, so the movie was quite nice, but in my opinion not as good as the last 2 (death note and death note: the last name) cos there isnt an ultra smart rival this time for L and so he did not really show too much of his intelligence this time round, but the story was nevertheless interesting, with all the viruses and little kids who are the key to the whole case. Though some scenes are a bit...disgusting like when they go around killing people. But I got a piece of L-change the world chocolate, which I havent eaten yet, cos I want to keep it. =) (i wonder until when...) Here is it (and yes thats my maths ws behind):

Okay, so today we took our Biology CCT and it was quite horrible. Many of us didnt manage to finish the paper. including me. I was drawing my punnet square after taking some time to think and only managed to write out the gametes... so wasted! And they also tested many things I thought were so basic they wouldnt test it...but they did, so I wasnt really prepared, but hope I do well!! Cos I really studied for this! Oh yes, the maths test earlier this week was also quite tough...I finished with my face all red and warm. (partly becos of the fever) But I was lucky I finished it, so thats one thing to be happy about. Today's re went smoothly, Shayne came for RE, but another member didnt make it today, Jim. He went home earlier today because of his fever which he got from me I suppose...sorry Jim!! Good luck for your tests!
We have also been experiencing some change in teachers for Physics and Maths, where some cadet teachers will teach us for 10 weeks! 10 whole weeks, I wonder whether our grades will be affected... Anyway, theres much homework today, rushing them, but taking time off to blog as a form of relaxation. SS project, SS research for lesson, maths ws (from earlier), chem wb 3 chapters and geog structured questions...so much.... But I am going to do as much as I can today!! Jiayou! only 1+ weeks to holidays!!

I feel quite ill... For some reason, I felt perfectly fine at school (almost) and even played basketball during PE, though I wasn't that good. But after i reached home, my fever started to act up once again and it got quite bad, like I felt cold and hot at the same time... So when I went to try to regulate the temperature, I didnt know whether I should warm myself or cool myself... I chose cool in the end. Anyways, feel very sick now, but still want to go to school cos there are tests coming up!! Im really sorry if anyone got the illness because of me, cos theres something called social responsibility, which I dont seem to want to follow even though I know it... cos its uncertain or something. Okay, even I dont know what Im talking about, so bye for now, and protect yourselves! Again, best of luck to all those taking tests or any other challenges!

Note: I have just changed the timezone that my blog was supposed to be in, and the times for the posts have been corrected, saving all of us a lot of trouble and confusion, lol.
Its indeed unsual what a fever has done for me. I would usually sleep my sunday mornings away because of the late night gaming on saturday night, haha. But today I woke up at 8am! It might not be very early for you, but it is sort of an achievement for me, a person who wakes up at 10+ most of the time. So I estimated my own temperature and then just took panadol. (without anyone telling me to, I mean thats cool, maybe it shows that I can make my own decisions? lol) Yes, still slightly feverish, but much better than how I felt on friday! and thanks so much to those who have wished me well! Really happy to hear them! And I still hope to get well before the maths test tomorrow!! It makes up 7.5% of my overall maths mark this year! (i think) Good luck to everyone for their mugging and dont fall sick! Remember that there are always people supporting you! I felt that more strongly as I fell sick, so learn to treasure them!
Oh yes, Im going to watch the movie, L- Change the World, later! This is unheard of in my culture, as in watching movies one day before tests, but I calculated that I might miss it if I dont go now, so I have to go today. Haha, I guess I will take it as a final break before the tests for the next 2 weeks, many projects due, and for a meeting of high importance sometime in Week 10, or the next week, or seven days later. Quite excited! (for the movie, duh) But hope I dont get sick in the super-cold movie hall+unhealthy popcorn+soft drinks+nachos, haha. (No of course I dont eat so much, even usually)

Today Im still feeling quite ill, and I think many people could tell. Couldnt focus on lessons very well. I still went to school, cos I didnt want to miss school... be it for my academics or for my friends, I just felt like I wanted to go to school. Didnt feel as happy as I usually am though. For lessons, we did a physics practical, then discussed about societies and Sri Lanka. Recess was the same, walking around doing nothing, and checks by Mr Koh, asking why i was always mugging when he saw me. Im not a mugger, and i was just revising the formula for the maths graded assessment later. The others were playing on their PSPs and we found out that Mr Koh actually plays games we play too, haha. Then listened to some songs on Hiok Yang's ipod, with Daniel from the next class also listening. and 3 ppl listening with earphones= greater sapping of battery. Haha, some of the songs were nice, and I was kinda surprised when he told me that he had an anime song inside. It was also one of my favourites- the opening of Flame of Recca, an anime we both watched when we were very young- I watched at about P1 or earlier, I think. Haha, good taste. The maths test was a pair work and I was in the same group as Ming Chan. I felt very fortunate to have been able to finish the test, cos many of my friends didnt manage to finish it. However, whether the questions has been done correctly is another issue altogether, but I have confidence that we will do well! (I dont sound like a person with fever...) After maths was english, and we watched the movie 'Big Fish' which was really interesting cos the stories that the father told his son about himself were simply amazing. But the son thought that his father has always been telling him fabricated stories and never told him the truth about his life. There were giants, a werewolf and some very dumb decisions. When I was helping the teacher to set up the IT equipment, I saw the disc of the movie and thought that it was some olden day movies which we wouldnt be able to appreciate, but I was wrong about it and enjoyed almost all of it.
After school, went to eat with Bennah as we were doing a project together later together. The fever was really bad then, cos I didnt feel like eating and there was a burning sensation all over my body. And so I didnt talk much then and sort of became cold. (lol) After I finished eating, Mr Koh, my form teacher, joined us at our table and ate with us, chatting with us about some class matters, which I enjoyed very much, haha. It sort of cheered me up with some funny comments, and I laughed. Then we two went to the library to work on our project and decided upon the basic things until I had to go for my javelin event and Ming Chan came along to help. Jim had finally found a house t-shirt from our senior and we went over to RJC. Was still feeling sick...so didnt throw as well as usual and got embarrassed in front of my seniors. So I got second for javelin, but told myself I did well, and that I have actually improved from last year, since I have earned my house more points this year. Heard this from the bayley champ, "Wait, I want to listen to the results so that i can suan people." How nice.
Anyway, as i went home with Jim, I suddenly felt as if I was fainting and desperately asked Jim for some water on the bus. Whats worse, we were standing. So as the bus reached the stop, I quickly alighted and sat on the bench, trying hard to breathe and regain my self. Jim also hurriedly went to buy some sweet drinks for me and after the drinks and some resting, I felt slightly better and proceeded into the MRT station. After we went into the train, I walked around and found a seat, followed by planting myself there and closing my eyes.
I realised during the day, that i had forgotten to bring the important panadol, and instead brought many lozenges to school, so I had to suffer the consequences...Get well soon please!! There are still tests next week!

As I walked out of my grandmother's house just now, I cant help but noticing the bright and full moon above me. It was really beautiful and reminded me that it is actually the 15th day of the lunar month (chu 15), so it kinda makes sense. I think its because of my condition that allowed me to be more sensitive to my surroundings, so that might be a good thing...and its really beautiful, it must have been many months since I last saw a moon like that. The only thing im afraid of is that I might like affect the people around me, so... hope we are all careful and resilient? (lols the topic for CLE lesson) Anyways, I wish I can get well soon and throw well for the Javelin competition tomorrow!
Oh and I almost forgot, Congratulations to Singapore for being chosen to host the first ever Youth Olympics!! I just heard on the television. yes although it was more or less expected, but its always reassuring to hear us being chosen officially. I hope Singapore will host this special event well, and allow the whole world to know about our small country, with a big heart. (maybe?) I also heard that the parliamentary secretary for the ministry of community development, youth and sports- Mr Teo Ser Luck has worked very hard for this, so thank you to him and congrats too! =)

Today was a normal day at school, except a philosophy test which many of us found difficult...and I left a question blank, cos I completely dont understand what its asking for since it is so similar to the question before it. We also got back our Bio test results, only, cos our teacher didnt want to return us in case there were any mistakes in marking...and I did well! So, was quite happy, and felt that it is like a consolation for me, as I havent been feeling well since yesterday night and my cold got even worse today. Runny nose, coughing, sneezing, feeling dizzy and headaches...oh wait sounds like a fever. I looked ugly and messy at school today becos of all these...used up my whole pack of tissues and still had to get more...but at least I survived lol.
After school was the Humanities Club selection test, which some people who told me they wanted to go didnt turn up and I 'invigilated'. But I couldnt stop myself from taking the paper too, cos its always so exciting. There were Literature, History, Geography and Current Affairs questions in it, and many were really tough... It is a 2 hour paper with 100marks... So I skidded through the paper and then discussed the paper with some of my frens in the club who have finished it. (We werent supposed to, cos some other people were taking the test too, but i guess it should be ok...) Lemme just say a really funny thing (though it may leak one question...) Theres this question asking for a poem/essay/play. It was a 7 marks question, but my fren wrote a haiku. A haiku. What an easy way out, but really funny, cos he actually wrote it. 7 marks for 17 syllables lol. After I finished my shift, I went to find Hiok Yang at the scouts den, which I only found out where today, lol. Then we and some scouts went to the supermarket to buy some stuff for their camp tomorrow. I was really feeling VERY bad then, but I was hoping that a walk might help with my illness, so I tagged along like some parasite. In the end, I didnt help at all, and went home slightly late. My illness did get slightly better and I killed some time, spending it wisely helping some scouts lol. So thanks to the scouts for letting a stranger (sort of) tag along, I had fun. Just took a fairly large dose of panadol, and now im going for reunion dinner on the last day of chinese new year, with my relatives at my grandmother's house. Not sure if other people still celebrate this day, but my family sure does. Happy YuanXiaoJie everyone!

Today is a Tuesday, which is supposed to be one of the shorter days at school, but there seems to be a lot of things going on today. Firstly, (not related to stuff after school) we had a free period for Social Studies which we were supposed to write an essay on our own, but we sort of wasted the lesson away, but not fully, cos Mrs Lim our bio teacher took about a quarter of the period to teach extra stuff for our CCT. The rest of the time was spent doing everything except writing the essay. Then we had our mother tongue CCT, which was a bit wierd, becos one section was like ultra giveaway of about 16 marks/60 marks of the paper, but the others were really quite difficult and I think that i wrote crap for some of the questions.
So after school, Jim and I ate a light lunch and rushed off to the stadium where we had our shotput competition. I was quite nervous when i saw all the people there- familiar faces (= experienced). But I tried not to let that affect me and just threw. In the end, I just passed my personal goal of top 3 and got third. Worse than last year. It was a really scary experience, cos the teacher wrote our positions wrongly at first and I got...so after a while he realised and changed it, so became slightly better. I really wouldnt say I did well this time round, but still want to thank all those who have given me their support and well wishes! =) Especially Jim, who was there with me the whole time and let me like squeeze his hands really tightly after the competition when I got a bit...insane? I hope Jim also had an enriching experience with me!! So after that was over and some chatting, we went back to school for a talk on talking. Yes, a workshop-like thing about public speaking for all the prefects and CCA representatives. Think we were chosen becos of our bad speaking skills, lols, but the talk was quite interesting and it really showed me how to speak better in front of people next time. The english teachers made the 5-7pm thing really engaging (as in literally), so even when its extended until 7.30pm, many of us didnt mind. The teachers were showing us examples while teaching us, which made it more fun, haha. I remembered one part close to the end of the talk when the speaker's laptop went into hibernating mode because it ran out of power, and she went "AIYOOOOOO!" and everyone laughed. That was one of the strategies she taught us earlier about being always on your feet, ready to face problems and how to and stuff. She's a good speaker.
So thats about all today, feeling very tired now after the long day, and so goodbye! zzz...

Note: This is supposed to be published on Sunday, but lazy me decided to publish only on Monday about stuff on Monday, so dont mind the date shown. :)
This is my 100th post! Which means that for the past 2 years I have posted approximately 1 post in 7.3days, not a lot I guess. But nevermind, I hope that what I lack in number of posts is made up for in the number of words, lol. Anyway, last friday was Hiok Yang's birthday, so Happy Birthday and may all your wishes come true! Had a English CCT today on writing a personal narrative, which I fairly enjoy, because its just writing about yourself, isnt it? and if I didnt like that I wouldnt be blogging. I picked the question about teaching someone else and learning something yourself, and wrote about my experience in primary 5 as a tutor in the peer coaching programme. I got slightly lost while writin, but slowly founf my story back and continued. No idea how I will do, though... Today we also had to do a chinese zuo wen in class. The new teacher just came in and wrote two words on the board '愧疚', which roughly means regret or something, and told us to write on that topic. I completely forgot about it, cos he did tell us last week about this, so I took a longer time to think through my story, and couldnt find many chim words to use, so in the end I wrote overtime and it happily ate into my lunch. I thank XinYan for telling me how to write some words I dont know how to write, lol. Okay so lunch, I only had a miserable 15minutes or so. Spent first minute thinking whether or not I should go and eat, cos my class is the furthest class away from the canteen, so took a minute to think. Then remembered about CCA later, so have to eat, and ran really ran all the way to the canteen and picked the shortest and quickest queue, or so I thought. Okay, it actually was, but it seemed a long time before I got to the front of the queue and bought my food. Less than 10 minutes left. Walked quickly to the tables and started gobbling everything down like a pig. I nearly choked myself and vomitted. but all was fine, I finished it within 5 minutes or so and returned my plate. With about 5 minutes left, I suddenly remembered about my correction tape, which ran out during the chinese essay, so ran to the popular at canteen and bought a pack. Quickly paid and again ran back to class, I really felt very uncomfortable, but dunno why I want to make myself actually run. So I got back to class. No teacher there yet, and went to sit down to rest. Didnt know whether I should be happy, happy: got back before teacher. Unhappy: Wasted all the running. Cos the teacher only came about 5 minutes later. After all these was CCA, which was fairly usual, but tomorrow I will be participating in interhouse championship for ShotPut, so wish me luck!
Thats the end of my 100th post, sorry for all the _minutes and time, just wanted to show I flustered i was racing against time, sort of...

Today is the 14th of Feb, a LOVEly day for many. But for me its just...normal? Getting new projects, getting reminded of old projects, getting frustrated of long projects and getting rid of the thought of these projects... iDdnt enjoy the first part of today, cos of the sciences, which can be very boring. PE was...boring too, cos we measured our height and weight and I got sad 'results' and just did random stuff in the gym while waiting. Then came recess, a groundbreaking one, cos I ate my first proper recess in about...a year? As in rice and all the other stuff with it. And a someone thought i was angry becos I was conscious of my weight...lol. Then after recess was quite fun, cos we had SS, which I like, thinking about stuff about society, haha. Sorry if its boring to anyone...
After school was our school's annual track and field championships heats 1. Where I went to the Discus U15 as the helper lol. Quite fun seeing your friends throw, but u not as a competitor. And fitri won again. Expected of him. Quite tiring today, had to run around, and do all these stuff continuously for about 4 hours or so, with only a 5 mins break in between...But nevermind, it was still fun. If only I had the freedom to look around and see my friends in action... Some of them did well, so was happy for them. Slightly worried about my own events, happening next week. Hope I do well!!
Lastly, wishing all a Happy Valentines Day! and its also my classmate, Jia Wei's birthday today! (i hope im right) So lucky.

10:49 PM

So these 2 days have been spent adapting back to school life and rushing my RE project, which is due for checking tomorrow by my teacher mentor. The proposal has to be refined many times and we also have to work on the significance of the project and stuff. But all these are to prepare for the meeting with our NUS expert mentors on Friday! From what I heard from the teachers, the mentors are able to just drop your group if you are not prepared and you are out. Nervous! So have been wrecking our minds to try to polish everything up and to get some of our group things in order. Im afraid I will go insane. but enough about that,
Today we had one and a half free periods. One becos our English teacher didnt come to school today and half becos the new Chinese teacher kinda got confused with the change in lessons. During English, we got a surprise visit from Mrs Tan, the DHM, and she caught some of us playing soccer in class (not me), but she forgave us on account of our 'good behaviour'. She also wanted us to ask her two questions, so thanks to the sabo from Alvin and 'he talks a lot in class', I got chosen and just asked her what she does in school as the DHM. She was a bit shocked, i think, but she gladly told us some projects she has been working on, after thinking for a while. Haha, then after class someone told me that I was very daring to ask such a question, but i didnt think it was. Anyway, other than that, those free periods were quite fun, doing a little of work and interaction with the class, lols. (like learning how to levitate, etc.)
Met sup and shi ya in the canteen at lunch today, and had a nice talk with them and alvin. Its always fun to catch up with friends. Then after school, Jim and I went to J8 to buy some stationery that the popular in our school doesnt have, and some other stuff, for fun and to 'relax' by doing something unrelated to school after school, even if it is just for an hour or so. Well so thats about all for today, wishing for the best for re!

11:21 PM

Its 12 now, and that also means a new day back at school. K, back to
Chu 2, when my family went to visit more relatives at my P side and got more red packets, lol. At night, my some of my cousins and I went to catch a late night movie at PS. The 7 of us went to watch Kungfu Dunk, which starred Jay Chou. I for one didnt think too highly of that movie, but it eventually came out okay, with slightly too much of the special effects and stuff. The story was also average, some believable, others not, unlike the next movie I watched. But I sort of forgave it, becos I thought that it was more of showcasing the stars, so even an average movie is acceptable, i guess. (Note: I am NOT a Jay Chou fan)
The next morning, my whole family went to watch CJ7 together, and again, it was at PS and it was still better than I had expected. My siblings and I were all trying to persuade our parents not to watch this, but in the end they kept their decision (of course), and we went to watch it. It was alright too, I just didnt like the ultra unrealistic storyline, worsened by the special effects like the shining head thing and the spaceship thing. Yes, it was funny and touching, just like Stephen Chow (the director and actor too) wanted it to be, but like my sister said, 'I dont like it because it cheated me of my tears'. The story is lousy. But maybe you should watch for the humour or the touching parts, cos I know some ppl who cried. To be fair, I appreciated the movie for fusing humour with those touching parts, cos I didnt know whether I should be happy or sad at times. (Note: Im not a fan of Stephen Chow/ET and I didnt cry, lols)
Okay, so after the movie in the morning, we bought some stuff and went home. Had to do some homework and stuff. Then in the evening, went to M grandmother's house for dinner and a bit of gambling. Guess what, I forgot to bring my 'capital' and borrowed, but ended up with money in the end. Completely different from the day before. And becos I didnt have capital, I didnt dare to risk high amounts, so won a little of the loss back. When many ppl left, we also played bridge among 4 of us and had lots of fun, lol.
Last rest day... feels very sad, cos its the last day of rest, and then back to the real world... Whats more, I had problems doing my maths homework. So I didnt do most of them. So today is like normal, woke up late. But today we went to eat Japanese cuisine at a Jap restuarant, so it is slightly special today. lols, im not thick skinned, but I feel smart to have ordered a plain ramen. cos its the part I like the most about Jap ramen, the soup and the noodles. I didnt even know such a thing exists, but I took it, praying that it would be good, and it wasnt bad afterall. Yep, so had a nice lunch with parents and bro, then got sent home for homework. While my parents went out again. Dinner was at grandma's house again, but this time my 5th aunt's husband (i know hes supposed to be uncle, but my grandpa's 5th son is also 5th uncle, so not to mix them up) was cooking a 10 course meal for all of us, lols. First time this is happening. It was really good, but didnt get to eat a lot, cos there were others lol. But today has been made special becos of the food. So thats about all today. (yesterday) The posts these few days has been fairly long, cos they r during a holiday, so forgive me if those in future arent up to this standard. Reaching 100th post! yay

11:41 PM

Today was fun, but lets start with yesterday... which was obviously CNY eve. We went to school like any other day, but there werent any lessons cos it was the celebratons! Our class was called to a corner in the morning and Mr Koh started talking to us, then gave us a red packet each! (the topic was on how the amount in a red packet didnt matter, lols) There were chocolate coins inside haha. Then we went into the hall and randomly found a place to sit. At first, I thought that it might be nice to watch, but after a while it got boring, with all the quite lame QNA sessions which is repetitive every year, sort of and the CO performance which went a bit too long. So Hiok Yang, Daniel Lau, Yuho and I started playing chopsticks in the hall lol. I had thought that it would also be quite boring, but it got surprisingly interesting. Cos you can sabo people or just get what you never expect. This is especially so when we played a team game, 3T vs 3R, After we won the first game, Daniel went to say that victory will be decided by 5 games. But we lost the next 2 rounds, due to a powerful strategy of theirs. But we realised that they were taking advatage of a flaw in the game, so we modified it to make it more fair, and we won the next 2 rounds, haha. It was a nice way to kill time during the performances. However, this does not mean that I wasnt watching the show, its just that we wanted to make it more interesting. Okay, so that was the highlight of school yesterday.
After I was released, I met up with my old friends from Rosyth, and went back to primary school together. (met tey guan on the way, but he was following some other ex school mates) Got stuck at the school gate cos the security at our old school wasnt allowing us to enter, until the pupils were dismissed, which was simply inconsiderate or dumb. How are we going to have time to meet our teachers and catch up with our friends if we are only allowed in when school ends at about 10.45am and closes at 11.30am? We need time to talk, take photos and wat not. Anyway, had a nice chat with a few of my ex-teachers. Im sure all of us were happy to meet again, haha. Heres a photo that was taken on WJ's camera: (its a pity that there are only Raffles peple here, i think, what a nice pic)

Okay, so after we were forced to go, we went to AMK Hub together, though some left. And met Ray and Jian Yang there, adding to WJ, Darren, WX, Kenneth, Yee Shing, Sher Yin, Delwyn, Joash, Si Min, Shu Ren who were already there. Not sure if I missed out people, haha and sorry. Then decided to eat at Pepper Rice, first time eating there. The food was quite good, and I was thinking about the tempting smell that seemed to be everywhere, including outside its store. Suspicious haha. Heres a pic at Pepper Rice:

After lunch, many of us had our own stuff to do, like packing for trip or a 'reunion lunch' or taking care of younger siblings, so had to part. Took the same bus as Jian Yang and Kenneth, but poor Kenneth had to stand while we found seats.
Reached home, rested, and waited till about 6pm when we prepared and set off for my paternal(P) aunt's house. But a very unfortunate thing happened just as we were about to leave, which involved the police... Shall not speak too much about it here, but I admit that it was quite interesting to see them at work. I was thinking that there should be an improvement in the efficiency of the police force...and whether I should be doing my part to help. I really dunno why, but I just felt that maybe I should work in the SPF next time? or maybe i have some anxiety disorder? I dunno... Okay, but luckily, thanks to my clever uncle, we managed to wrap things up quickly and rush to my aunt's house not too late. Wished everyone a happy CNY and had a delicious reunion dinner with my family cooked by my grandmother herself, haha. Really good stuff, and then played some games and talked and watched tv and read some school notes (lol, shocked? of course they werent ours, it belonged to my cousin who gave those to us, and we went through the notes briefly to see if we needed them). Had a fun time with them, but they werent the family I was going to countdown with, so we went over to my maternal(M) family's grandmother's house.
When we reached, we greeted everyone and got busy preparing for the New Year Show we had to do for the family. My cousins and I (which added up to about 15 ppl altogether although I bet there are actually about 50 in our family) frantically did the final rehearsal, and did the countdown, before presenting the real thing in front of all our families. It was...embarrassing? Jim and I were acting as a water dragon in the play. Now you understand. Whats more, we were the bad guys, so we dont get the cheers and encouragement the good guys get. So we finished the show, went home and ended the day or the early morning like that.
Had a nice sleep, and woke up later in the morning.(lol) This morning, we all wished our parents well for the new year and got our red packets, then went on to have breakfast at M grandmother's house, and then visited my godfather at his house, to wish him a happy new year too. As a person extremely interested in collecting artworks and what not, he happily showed us around his new house, filled with thousands of antiques. even though it is a new house, the space just never seems enough for him, haha. He also showed us his new hobby: painting ceramics or something like that. Visiting him has already been a tradition for my family and I always look forward to seeing him, getting to see many new stuff always being added to his ever-growing collection and him sharing his experiences with us. Then went over to P aunt's house again and ate lunch and watched a really funny taiwanese variety show on tv. After that came a super lame chinese comedy movie which was funny but spelt 'suck' all over. Sorry if that was offensive, but it was that bad.
Then went back to M grandmother's house once again, and saw that movie still on, so continued to watch becos there wasnt much to do then. Slowly more cousins came and watched with me, they also commented that it was the lousiest show ever. I wonder why they broadcasted it during CNY... Then ate dinner, then played some games with my cousins and went on to a tradition- gambling. We played quite a lot of games and I lost pretty badly...maybe becos I wasnt wearing my lucky colour this new year. (according to tv, it black and white, but can I...its CNY!) Yes I lost badly, but it didnt affect my happy feelings much, its the festive season afterall! Had lots of fun, then went home and wrote this. Its 1.30am now, so it means I have to get some sleep before I fall asleep tomorrow while visiting.
Lastly, I wish everyone, whether or not you are a chinese, a joyous and fulfilling CNY!! GongXiFaCai, XinXiangShiCheng! Promise to post more pics next time together with the others!

Today (Yesterday) in class, the best part was the 'Assembly' period, converted into a PDI/CEC discussion period, but became a free period lols. People were all doing their favourite stuff, playing hp games, homework (?), and discussing about interclass soccer for this year. While a few ppl and I did up the class deco for the windows. Thank you to all those who have helped out! And good luck to all the soccer players this year, although they wouldnt need this because I really think they are THE best! haha.
Tomorrow, or more correctly today (since its 12.40am), is Chinese New Year's eve! So I hope we will have a really fun day at school, doing nothing but appreciate the celebrations and bless one another. But like any year, there would be some fairly boring stuff like chinese opera 0_0 or lion dance and chinese orchestra performances that always seem so long. Nevertheless, I always love these days when we can talk to our friends freely, and give each other (including the teachers) our best wishes for the new year. Also, an important part of new year's eve for me is visiting my primary school, rosyth. And like always, we are the ones who are begging to get in, but are not allowed to. Either an hour of stoning in the basketball court waiting hopefully that our teachers will appear, or a complete no visiting. I just dont understand the school's reason for this, are they telling us we shouldnt remember who were the ones who made us wo we are today? Its always quite saddening to not be able to actually visit your school freely, unlike other schools. Can you imagine just sitting at the basketball court for one mere hour? not even getting the chance to visit the canteen or look for your teachers? Isnt that comparable to meeting your teachers at any other random place? A real pity. However the touching thing (at least for the teahers) is that we still visit them every chinese new year or teachers' day whether or not we are allowed to. Standing outside the gate...hoping that a miracle would occur...This has been the case for the past 2-3 years, since my graduation and the new principal took over.
Now, I just hope to treasure all the friends I have. Afterall, they are the most important people... Truthfully, I would like to give all my friends a big hug if its ok, cos I just cannot imagine the life without them. The laughter and everything given to me by them. New year, new bonds! Have a very happy new year everyone! And I didnt forget Darren's birthday! Happy Birthday Darren!! I know its on the 4th of Feb.
