Blogger
Sunday, March 30, 2008

I was just opening some windows and doing many things at the same time, like listening to music, chatting, facebook-ing and reading some articles, and browsing through some files, when my com suddenly lagged... for quite a while, until I closed down some of these programmes (with difficulty). And then I realised how blogger is just so user-friendly, saves drafts for you automatically, and clear headings etc. And it doesnt cause lagging that much, at least on my com... Haha, random.

Last friday, I was drowned with comments by my Geography teacher cos I was handing in the class' work, which included many incomplete works, or works not meeting requirements. So I could only try to find reasons/excuses to help, lol. but she refused all of them, but I just like keep on saying until she laxed it a bit lol. but she even said some things that were quite bad...which I shant say here, but good job to those groups that handed in completely and punctually! Which doesnt include my own, lol. That was the thing which kinda spoiled that... otherwise great day!

Okay, I have just been through an uncommon weekend, where I sort of just spammed homework. And barely played, haha. Only played like 2/3 hours, compared to up to twice or thrice that amount usually, lol. Okay, that included watching animes and stuff, that's why. So there really isnt anything much to talk about...my life is boring, haha. Hope it wont be when im older... Just bought some computer things today after dinner, like many CDs for school work and data storage, and some other stuff. That was the only time I exited my house this weekend except for tuition and the weekly trip to my grandmother's house. I cant believe it, okay maybe its nothing compared to some of you, but I love to get out, so, yeah.

The only thing Im looking forward to this week is the Learning Journeys Day on wednesday. Its the day we can just get out of school legally and just have fun with friends lol. Learning is secondary, haha. Fine, we are learning secondary stuff.

Today im thinking: How do parents teach their young children about things they cannot see, like light (okay partly), sound and like thoughts?
(This is a random thoughts section that I might post sometimes when I think about random things)

Relieve
Friday, March 28, 2008

You can call me crazy, but what a relieve to be at school today! I found school completely 'fun' compared to working on schoolwork at home. And friends always make the day even better.

Saying this, my troubles might seem to have ended. But they are not. I just took some time off, and forced myself to post this, at least something about this special feeling I got at school today. Still got work to do:
-公函
-English Commentary
-3 Geography ws on Natural hazards and Monsoon
-Some club activities planning

So, wish me all the best! Jiayou! I shall finish up my due work this weekend, and start the next without any regrets! (Well, it sounded good.) So to all who are in the same situation, tell yourself you've got a buddy in the fight. lol.

I just had to say this, but so fortunately, I finished watching the whole series of Clannad during the 'hols'! It was a nice and heartwarming anime. But maybe that's what caused me all the unfinished work?

2nd last day of the real hols
Wednesday, March 26, 2008

Today was the second day of the Raffles soccer league, and we got short of people halfway. So, even though I was there only to support, and have no prior experience, no practice, and no warmup before that, I had to go for my class, lol. Thats why, I could only be defending, the job I am so used to taking up. Whether in basketball, handball, captain's ball or in this case soccer. For some wierd reason, I prefer defending most of the time, I think its a more meaningful job for me. No offense to those who attack and score, cos they are the ones who actually win for the team, haha. In any case, I think I did badly, cos I couldnt do anything except go 'ram' any person near my area or kick any ball as far forward as possible. Feel so apologetic to my classmates, we drew with 2 classes today, and now we are 6th among all the classes. (which is completely unrepresentative of my class' skills lor) The first draw was justified, cos we were against the strongest class, 3A,(other than ourselves of course, haha) but the second was a pity. I just feel so useless. Even bruised my foot when kicking the ball but ended up kicking someone's leg. Yes, its pain when I walk. Im a sad case...so maybe I should stick to being a supporter, huh?

But, it was a rare opportunity for me to see my friends in action, together with them on the field. It just feels different from standing outside and watching. This confusion actually caused me to stone when someone kicked the ball to me...omg. It was mainly my fault that we didnt do as well today. Many of them also said that we would have scored and done better with Hiok Yang. Which is obviously the undeniable truth. My other classmates, did well from what I saw and did their best. No matter what you guys say, I sincerely feel sorry towards my class.

Homework for E-learning
English- Comprehension Passage with Summary, annotate passage using Paul's wheel of reasoning/top level structure, top level structure ws
Chinese- 议论文 and 应用文 (yes, these words are short but the work is absolutely not)
Maths- 2 maths ws on quadratic functions
Biology- ws on nutrition
Physics- Online ws
Chem- 4 Chem ws on Atomic structure and bonding
Social Studies- ws on conflict in northern Ireland (with songs)
Philosophy- ws on induction and deduction

Above is a list of homework for the 'holiday' week, ending tomorrow and has to be handed in on Friday. And I have barely done it, despite saying that I want to finish it quickly and mentioning it many times in front of my friends. irony. Many of my friends were discussing about how the teachers can give us so much work when they are having staff training. The work we got is far more than what we would get on normal school days and some people were saying they would rather not have this 'holiday' if they didnt have to do the 'holiday' work, haha. I will try to finish my work, but no promises. (not persuasive at all, haha) Enjoy your holidays while you can! even though there is work!

My class ROCKS! (so random, but its still from the heart)

Good Luck!
Tuesday, March 25, 2008

Today morning, my family woke up early to bid farewell to my sister, who is going to the US for some internship programme. Was feeling sleepy in the morning, cos slept quite late last night... Today, I saw the new Terminal 3 with my own eyes, and found it quite beautiful and comfortable. It also has a NTUC supermarket there, haha. However, I must say that it also looked very similiar to the old Terminal 2 in terms of the layout, like where the departure gates, the check-in-area and the shops were. Though my sister goes in and out of Singapore fairly often, I seldom have the chance to see her off because of school, but today I got the chance to. It was nice to be able to see her off, but I also kinda dislike doing stuff like this, watching people leave, especially without you, and seeing people feeling sad about things like these.

Since school was closer, we thought of going to school directly to support our classes in the inter-class soccer league, but went home in the end cos we wanted to get a litle more rest. So after that we went to support our clases at school. Thought I was late, but the matches were delayed even more, so managed to see them train for a while. It was quite an easy win for my class, 2-0, against 3P. I have always believed that my class was the best, and it still is. The goals were scored by Hiok Yang and Manfred. Both nice ones, haha. Hiok Yang scored earlier in the game and among quite a number of people, so was good. Manfred's one was, beautiful, cos the ball hit someone's (of the other team) head and bounced into their goal, lol. So funny. TengChuan our goalie saved 2/2 of the shots made! (I actually asked him if he was happy with his performance of 2 saves, cos I thought it was little to him. But he said its 2/2, so its good. I know that, but I didnt think they thought of it in this way...) Okay, shall remove the brackets and discuss normally. I mean, when people discuss about, lets say, no. of goals scored by someone, they only look at the numbers right? They dont usually look at the no. of chances they get to score or what. Thats what i think...correct me if im wrong. Of course, the other players from my class were great too, I sort of feel so proud when telling people im from 3T there and then. They must be honoured, lols. =)

Then it started to pour heavily and we all rushed back into shelter, except 2 other classes, whose matches were still going on. and Alvin the self proclaimed 'professional' referee too.

Then most of us went to J8 for lunch. Though it was a short lunch, I had much fun and thought that all was worthwhile today! Wish my classmates all the best for the upcoming matches! Their hard work shall be rewarded!

Track and Field Championships Finals 2008
Monday, March 24, 2008

Today was the Track Finals, and we were all at Bishan Stadium to watch the final leg of the fight between the houses. I find the position given to us, Hullett, strategic cos we could cheer the runners on even before they started, lol, but I didnt do much cheering, bad voice. Other than some very exciting races, it was pretty much boring. Spent our time walking around, buying food and drinks, and chatting with the teachers, etc. JonSee, DiaoZheng, Sup (for a while)and I, were also playing a book game, solving mysteries, haha. So fun, cos DiaoZheng didnt follow the instructions and answered some when it wasnt his turn and Jonathan got the marks instead. He could have actually won... Sup just went off halfway and ended with quite little, haha. Enjoyed time with my friends, especially those that have I been separated from. But of course I also love to slack around with my classmates this year! (for some its both, lol)

After that we all went off to have lunch, to prepare ourselves for chem extra lesson, which many people hated, and said many things about, haha. Almost everyone from ri was scrambling in J8 trying to look for a place to eat (not difficult) and is not crowded. (more diff than you can imagine, haha) My group was running about, and as soon as we saw a crowd, we would run again to another restaurant, haha. And finally found one, Subway. So we ate there, and I ate a bit too much, haha. Didnt imagine it to be so much. Saw TengChuan the NPCC-er with others, who went off early because of their duty at the stadium as crowd control people, haha. Then said bye to HanSheng, after looking at his student pass picture, lol. He described it as 'serial killer', and Jim and I both agreed as we laughed and went off.

Back at school, we had a lecture and got back our Chemistry theory tests. I was sitting beside YenSan before the lesson started and changed place with JonKoh as the lesson started, cos I was afraid YenSan would suan me too much, lol. He IS the person who maintained his 'Best in Biology' title even after a few tests...and he likes and is good at science, so...yeah I changed seats very kindly. (I know its not) And I was doing my own stuff and talking as Mr Koh was announcing those that got higher. Then he said something which I didnt hear, but everybody was making a lot of noise about, then people were like staring at me and asking me to go get my paper. I didnt expect my name, so I got a pleasant surprise and rushed down to get my paper, lols. Amazingly, the people I had talked to before were also high scorers, lol. One bunch sitting together. That really brightened up my day, but the thought of the Chemistry practical spoiled it. Mr Koh said he hasnt finished marking, cos we gave him crap answers. He said that. And then he raised a few examples of 'crap'. And most of what he said, I wrote in my paper, so good luck for practical...

Didnt have CCA today for some reason, haha. So am back home early. Unlike HiokYang, who has to go and practice dance for 01Scouts. And he didnt get last for running. (NOT suanning)

Doing maths now, but cant get my mind off animes, lol. Was watching animes until about 1am this morning. Lol. Finished D.gray-man and Naruto Shippuuden catching up, and so I started watching another anime. Actually wanted to try watching Fate/stay night or Claymore, but ended up watching Clannad, cos the title sounds interesting, haha. It was quite far from what I thought it would be like, but its still entertaining and has very nice drawings. Its about a guy meeting a girl in his school which changed his life. He comes from a sad family, and became like a delinquent. But strangely, this girl enters his life and just changes what he usually experiences, like the usual road he takes home, past this road and to the television shop or something, etc. I just started watching, so dont know much about it yet, but something seems magical about the anime (as in theres some kind of magic in the anime, not that the anime is magical, lol). Will continue watching!

books..
Sunday, March 23, 2008

Today went to buy some books at Singapore Expo, cos they were having something like a warehouse sale. Quite fun, cos could buy many books, lol. I saw many interesting books, but forgot to buy them. (somehow, just forgot to take them) I got one about climate change (lol, partly for my project), one about some geog stuff, and one on ANIMES! The anime book, is from a few years back, but I still saw quite many animes I know in it. It talks about some important issues in anime. (mecha, apocalypse, western perspectives, etc.) A really interesting book, wanna read it! So fun to read about something you like so much, and cos I never thought I could find a book on anime thats really knowledge and content based instead of just many pictures and info about the animes.

I hope that my eyesight doesnt get worse, cos I think I spend more and more time using the computer, playing and watching animes every day. But who is to be blamed when there's just so much to do? Okay, myself for not controlling. I envy those people whose eyesight just doesnt get worse even if they do so much near work.

Dont want to talk about work, haha. Tomorrow is Track and Field Championships Finals, so no school, just need to go to Bishan Stadium. That is, if we didnt have Chemistry extra lessons back at school. (will get chem results, for practical and theory paper...)

A Good Friday
Friday, March 21, 2008

Today is Good Friday because...it is not too bad. I didnt do anything much today. Woke up late, didnt do work, ate, then went buying running shoes (yay, bought one), and then got home, played, ate, tried to do work but failed, surf web and stuff like blog. It isnt bad, considering that I didnt do any work today, only went around doing random stuff. So...its not bad.

Geog PT due next Friday, even when there's no Geog lesson next week, so Im going to get busy...(and I also have to give out the Geog notes...) Next Tuesday is class soccer tournament, so I hope to be able to go and support my classmates, and then maybe go for some gathering? (really hope so, miss my fun class) And I want all my work to be done soon!

Hope Easter Saturday tomorrow can be better than this Good Friday! (i think easter is after good friday..., not too sure)

Have been spending some time on animes again too! Catching up on Naruto Shippuuden and D.gray-man currently, and pondering on the topic of the first generation of animes, and those that I have watched. Hmm...

RI Community Day!
Thursday, March 20, 2008

Wasted the night time yesterday, fell asleep some time and woke up at 11.30pm, then decided to brush and stuff then fell asleep again, haha.

Woke up at 9am today and just started reading the news and then did some work, before going to school for community day, where we will be going to different parts of Singapore to do community service in our CCAs. Track and Field is divided into three groups, one to Ang Mo Kio, one to Tampines and one to Woodlands. I went to a primary school in Tampines, to interact with some students with slight behavioural problems through sports and games. When we reached, I was really excited about it, but didnt know the whole point of interacting with normal students. (I didnt know how they were special) We discussed about how we were going to hold everything, what we were going to do, etc. But when they came to meet us, I immediately knew what we were really there for, and we all knew that we had to scrap whatever we had planned.

The scene: Students running about the baketball court, shouting, and some at the nearby water cooler playing with the water by spraying the water everywhere. (the force of the water was fairly strong) I saw fellow schoolmates running around chasing them, asking them to settle down so that we can have a short briefing and start. The facilitators were also shouting and scrreaming for them to settle down. It was just chaotic. I really didnt expect to see that, and so was a bit stunned and shocked by what I saw.

After a while, we sort of naturally got started, without talking much. And they were playing basketball. It was rather rough, cos there were a few instances where the primary school pupils were pushed or fell down. And so I quickly reminded all the people to be more gentle when playing...scary. I felt like a failure, seeing all these happening. The teacher who brought us there, Mr Adrian Chan, must have been traumatised. And so, when help was needed to have something else for those who didnt want to play basketball (mostly girls), I volunteered and went to plan some programmes for them with ZiYang, JunYang and Jim.

We went to a classroom nearby and did some basic introduction. And then we saw what was happening. A lot, for a small group like that. One almost spoke like shouting every time she talked, one was really shy and didnt talk much. Since the planning wasnt good, we didnt know what to do but play some games to help them to calm themselves down and focus. Like some slightly modified games and hangman and jenga and stuff. I was very confused, didnt know what to do, but someone seems to come up with something when needed, so that was okay...except a few small 'happenings'.

Then I got back to the basketball court and saw that everything was quite in place, and joined in for a while before we had to pack and get ready to leave. Helped to pack, which wasnt as easy as you thought, cos it is hard to get the things back from some of them...had to give them their neverending lasts, and race them for the ball and stuff. So we got ready to take a final group photo and I sat down at the last row of the seats. And after a while, I heard some people laughing behind me and turned around to see my shorts wet and a 'trail'. Some of them actually poured 100plus on my shorts, and claimed that I wetted my pants. Was tired then, so just laughed with them and told them to have a seat. And then another boy was waving his smelly socks in my face, and I told him it stank, only told him nicely, haha. So we took our photo, one that I would 'remember for some time'. Like what Mr Chan said. Then we didnt do anything much after that and left.

Yes, some of those children were behaving quite badly, and I sound like im criticising them. But im indeed very happy to have a chance to be there to interact with them, and what I said was just accounting my experience there and not to talk bad about them. It was good that they expressed themselves truthfully, we wouldnt want to ask them to keep their feelings to themselves, but most of them might need to learn how to behave appropriately and stuff. There are also others who are very shy or are easily pushed around, so those should learn to speak up about how they feel and open up, make more friends, etc. If I had another chance, I would gladly return to that school to see how they were doing and maybe help them in other ways too. I have had a very interesting experience and have a new idea on another group of people in society who sort of need a bit of help. Was also a fun experience going with my CCA mates too, although most of them were complete strangers to me before today, cos we didnt belong to the same section...

RI Community Day: For the community, as a community.

yay
Wednesday, March 19, 2008

So today was a normal day, except for
1. The first batch of bananas from our class banana tree has been 'harvested' and given out free to all of 3T! A bit hard, but nevertheless sweet! Thanks to all those who helped out!

2. For re we got to rest, cos we met our mentor the last time and deserves some rest. (i think) Anyway we did do a follow up to the meeting on the programme portal and some literature review today. Went to collect some geog handouts during lunch and realised that I could get hold of the class since the class was separated by then. Panic! cos I wont be seeing them tmr and friday. (not really panicking) But will see them on monday, so okay...

CCA was somehow special, cos it was super-slack. I dont know how it was possible, but we ended in about one and a half hour. And so we played basketball among ourselves after that since by some mircle the basketballers werent training there then. Had fun, and finally understood a little why my frens said I was rough when playing, looks like I have to be gentler? lols, but for the first time im saying its hard to be gentle. Cant believe im saying this, haha.

Another thing is that my classmates always claim that I suan people. (making sarcastic remarks) Firstly, I admit I do suan people very lightly, but it is kept at a minimal level, or as low as I hope to. And I apologise to all those whom I have hurt. Sorry! I got affected by/ learnt from Alvin, who never fails to suan at least the number of hours spent at school every day and sits beside me. Also, I apologise if I have suanned unknowingly. (I can be that blur at times...or saboed by evil people) Yes, and please dont believe blindly whatever is said about me suanning, cos it might not be the truth! Hope that I can cure myself of this 'illness' I have came in contact with for the past three years, lol. (I must add that, though much unhappiness has been caused, much happiness has been created too, and not always hurting someone in the process) I would consider this a controversial issue for me...

T2D2
Tuesday, March 18, 2008

Was a bit frustrated yesterday night, cos I was wondering whether or not I should go all the way to nus just to collect my library card. alone. I hate being alone.

Today school was...normal, got back some tests. and I completely failed my english comprehension test. (got a big fat zero for vocabulary, wow) And I did just okay for maths topical assessment on graphical solutions of equations. This has never been a topic I was very confident at, simply becos its unstable for me. I can score very well for one graph and fail another...

Then was assembly where we didnt do anything much except watch a play on the soccer scene in singapore, comparing the past to present. Wasnt very interested, lol, so we talked among ourselves. Went to decorate our class next, and did something very nice. Something like grafitti, haha. Then I went to eat lunch and watch my classmates play soccer for a while. Jim was supporting our school at a tennis match with his class then, and Shayne is with his ever-so-busy schedule. So I had to go get the nus card myself, and had a very smooth journey there this time. Just dont understand why I have been going over to the clementi area so many times recently. (NUS, NanHua High School, Ngee Ann Poly...) I sort of just knew how to get to all the places this time, haha. Met Moses and Francis there and we got our cards together. Couldnt help anyone collect their cards cos it wasnt allowed, so sorry to about five people whom I promised to help them ask. (except jim, cos I told him hes family, lol)

Then as I was getting home on the same bus as last friday, I sat beside an nus person who spoke in chinese with the chinese accent, but used words so singaporean, like something she called '有聊’which I found so funny, cos I dont think there's such a word. Probably came from '无聊’lol. So after a while, I saw something really coincidental. By some chance, I met the three people I met last friday and mentioned on my blog! (the two girls and the old woman) When the girls went up, they were like, "Auntie!" so loudly the whole bus could hear it. And then they started talking again... Until the old woman got off and the smaller girl said something like next time she was going to invite the old woman to their house to see their father. Then the older girl (also very young, about 8), was telling her that she would never allow that, cos the woman was a stranger, but the younger girl kept saying she wanted. I think that the older girl is really smart to tell her younger sister the right thing to do. And the whole scene was really quite funny, thats why its memorable..lol.

Tomorrow will be the last day before the 'holidays'! Hope we dont get too much work within the next 24 hours. Oh, I mean during the 'hols' cos most work will be given online... So, good bye!

T2D1
Monday, March 17, 2008

Its back to school, and as I have said yesterday, Im actually excited to be back to see my teachers and friends! Met our new Chinese teacher today, and got 'punished' on the first day. Nice first impression, didnt bring textbook and had to do an individual 'dance'. Wow. But she's not that bad la, for now... PE was one of the best! Cos we had time to play basketball among ourselves, and people in my group claimed that I was very rough...okay maybe I was just a little too excited. (note that i didnt score any shots) And I also played 10minutes of soccer with my classmates during recess! A breakthrough, lol. (was surprised at how much injury can occur in just 10 mins) Then for biology, (I noticed a red patch at the side of my face) we did a very complicated experiment on STRs and what...PCRs I admit I didnt read the notes, but I dont think it would have made much difference, haha. Physics practical test after that, started with no calculators ended with three. Complicated affair, would make this very long if I explained. Just finished in time, phew, and was walking back to class when I found out that it was lunch. Dont know how I could have forgotten, but got reminded thanks to MingChan.

We were told to meet Mr Quek at his office for a scolding, so i went, but got less scolding than I had expected. lol. Then, went to RJ for training. Did some basics and more basics. So that was it for the day, and heres the calendar for the next 'holidays'

March Holidays no. 2
Thurs- Community Day! (will be volunteering at a sports carnival, most prob in AMK)
Fri- Good Friday! (not bad at all)
Weekends
Mon- RI Track and Field Championships (should be a fun day...with chem lesson to spoil the day)
Tues to Thurs- Staff Training Days! (We get to rest, and get online work to do...)
Fri- Back to school for one day (if we were like employees, I would have taken a leave on this day, lol)

My march holidays
Sunday, March 16, 2008

I saw that in many people's blogs, they were summing up their holidays, and I shall attempt to do the same. First, sorry to those who invited me out for anything at all, like mugging, playing pool, watching movie, etc. cos I just havent got the time yet...so sorry for not being able to make it, whether its for some family time, haha or competition/training, Im really sorry.

Today was quite fun, cos I woke up fairly late in the morning, but didnt feel guilty cos could afford to, haha. And took my time to eat breakfast and read. Then packed and went over to grandmother's house for lunch, which is as always, really nice and warm. (heartwarming, yes too) And then came my ShotPut competition at the new Simei ITE. The competition is called something like Allcomers' if im not wrong, a competition open for all, as can be seen, so it means interschool too. Simei ITE was really beautiful, and I waited for my senior before collecting the tags and everything. Didnt win as usual, =( but I have already been metally prepared, so... Okay, then we went to eat at the nearby Eastpoint, then I went home. A long way home. This is usually what a competition day is like, boring.

So, the holidays are coming to an end, and tomorrow is school again. Dont know why, but I actually look forward to school a little. Maybe because my new class is just so interesting, haha. I really like the environment im in, where laughter is just commonplace. So happy to be with my friends, even during lessons. Maybe thats why I hate homework. Okay, the holiday wasnt too bad too, it was spent on a holiday, some CCA training, competition training (ChemCarComp), competition(ShotPut) and homework. Just hope that I didnt miss out anything important, like projects, maybe?

So, hope that everybody has enjoyed their holidays and spent their time well! All the best for the next term! Go build stronger friendships!

Rushed day...
Friday, March 14, 2008

Today was pretty rushed, but nevertheless maintained that holiday mood that I have, cos the thought of the little homework I have left always makes me feel happy, haha. =) so typical.

Today went for CCA in the morning, and had some fun throwing, though it didnt seem like I was doing well. I was just told today that i had to go for a competition this Sunday, which is so soon. My teacher didnt tell me he signed me up and told me only today, through my senior, and didnt even let me know where and when it is held! I cant believe it, I wasnt even prepared to hear this. Anyway, just hope I dont get too caught up with the competition. (i know this is wierd, but im not confident of it) My coach scolded many of my seniors quite badly today, which is bad, and said nothing about me. Which can be good or bad, cos when nothing is said, it means that either:
Good- nothing is wrong
Bad- pissed and refuses to speak to you in any way possible unless absolutely necessary

So after CCA, I hurriedly went to wash up at RJ, rushed to J8 to get a hamburger at Mac's then just went all the way to ngee ann poly. (becos alvin and teng chuan sabo me) I really ran, and I was still late. So, I attended this compulsory workshop for a competition on chemical cars. Learn a little stuff, but most of the programme was for us to build a sample car and have fun. All the people from RI was in the same group, so we chatted a lot and didnt really concentrate on the car which we finished much earlier than the other groups. We didnt give it much thought, cos someone was calling himself the "Wing Commander", and was obssessed with a certain other person, so we were laughing quite a lot. But in the end, we didnt do so bad. Ours was the only car which could travel straight. (and wheels could fall off half way, haha) And we covered a considerable distance too!

As I was going home, I stood on the bus for the whole journey, leaning onto a soft pad which was meant for you to lean on. It was the first time I was taking this kind of bus of a new model, which had these wierd things. Anyway, I saw two small girls sit beside an old woman after they got up, and the woman just started to talk to them, and even (forcefully somewhat) give them tissue to wipe themselves, cos they were eating paus. Okay, I understand that it most probably is out of goodwill, but its a bit...(disgusting? dunno wat word to use) when you see someone being overly nice, especially to strangers! Im sorry if this offended anyone...
I also saw a woman wearing an ultra-cool Uchiha Itachi shirt! There's a chibi version of itachi on the front and at the back, was a big sharingan eye, with those red clouds closer to the bottom of the shirt. the sleeves had the slashed konoha symbol, like the one on the forehead protector itachi wears. Its really nice, and I was nearly staring at that person...okay maybe im too over...

So that sums up today, and its a rare night that I can rest and not do anything much! Better treasure it.

Back
Thursday, March 13, 2008

Just got back from the trip yesterday night, and feel really good now, maybe its because I could finally just leave work alone and just have some fun? But sigh, now that I have to deal with more, just hope that I can finish them! Anyway, not a lot of things seem to have happened while I was gone, so I guess everyone is just getting on with their lives...camps...homework...assignments. So maybe I should too.

Anyway, just came back from malaysia with my family. Just a short trip we all needed, and we just went shopping and stuff, though we didnt buy much. (Saw a teacher when leaving singapore!) And while we were in KL, Jim and I were like spending hours and hours in Borders at the Berjaya Times Square, which was really big... and I couldnt believe I actually looked at books for so long! And one obsevation I made was that their mangas are just so extremely expensive, one single book can be like...S$16? When in Singapore they can be less than half that price? Okay, i know its becos they r from the US, but how many people would actually buy them? So I didnt buy them, and instead I bought a puzzle book. (no im not a nerd) It was really interesting and those are slightly towards logic and word puzzles and not number puzzles... Although most of my time was spent at the fiction or manga section...

Okay so I also went to watch a late night movie there, 10,000BC and it was quite nice, my sister liked it a lot. It was quite exciting how the person saved so many tribes and to see him change in his personality as the movie progressed. Oh and I also watched Pathfinder and Help! Im a fish out of boredom as we went home.

We also went to genting, which I havent gone to in ages, and feel that it has changed, i think. I also tried on some rides in the theme park which i didnt the last time, when I was young. Like the corkscrew and the space shot thing. They were fun, haha. Ate far too much for the whole trip, and when I got home and randomly decided to weigh myself, I found myself like 1kg heavier! lols! I also made many observations about people as I was there. Anyway, this whole post seems random and out of order (messy). My brain's not working... So bye, should post pics later...

CONduce Camp 2008
Saturday, March 08, 2008

Woke up early today even though its Saturday, because of CONduce Camp 2008 at NanHua High School. Its an environmental camp that helps us to understand more about our earth and it inhabitants, relating to this global crisis, Global Warming. Firstly, I must say that I am really impressed by how environmentally friendly the school is. Like, recycling bins everywhere, and stickers on their switches to remind u to turn them off.... So after a short breakfast, we formed teams. Mine was Group 7! Consisting of facilitators (facies) Amanda and Jing Wei, and members Brian, Ann and Muhizin and myself. We played icebreakers in the morning, and watched a presentation on this issue, which was fairly boring, cos I watched the movie a few times already. Lunch was great, cos the food was surprisingly tasty for school food, or should I say food at school, cos it was catered i think. (they didnt use any disposable utensils, lol) We played many games afterwards, and our group did very well for some but quite bad for the others. I felt that we were a great group though, haha. The facies were also really supportive, so thanks to them too! Quite fun...but didnt really learn much, haha. Made many new friends there, so that was worth it haha!

Finally some peace
Friday, March 07, 2008

Today is the last day of Term 1, and Im sort of glad that I actually survived. Got back another test today, English. Didnt do well too, got the passing mark. O_O Apparently, my teacher said I wasnt clear in my writing... That aside, even today was stressful cos of the SS project due today, and Bennah and I were rushing through the final layout of the newsletter, while MingChan was playing at a softball competition. I went for my CCAs halfway, and left Bennah to do the printing, and I thought that he would just hand in the final product. So, I was surprised when I found him at the canteen when I was going home from CCA...I had forgotten to give him, MingChan and my reflections...so thanks to him, we were saved.

I dont know how this could have happened, but Jim and I got separated in the canteen while he was buying stuff and I was sorting out some worksheets for handing in. And so he left first... Alvin, Zi Xuan and Ryan somehow made me wait for them to finish their soccer match, and I waited about 45mins. I think I fell asleep sometime halfway, lol. Then went home the usual way, except that we saw our form teacher Mr Koh, and was talking to him as we went home. Haha, but it was quite comfortable la, not like a tense academic discussion.

Yay, holidays! Meaning some rest for all, whether or not its enough, is another problem... Im going for an environmental camp tomorrow at NanHua High, and have to wake up early, so hope Im not disappointed. Will be away some time next week, but back in time for Friday's Chemistry course, but details havent been confirmed. So thats about all now, was hoping for some class gathering, but looks like it wont materialise...haha.

One last day...
Thursday, March 06, 2008

Today was...tiring, obviously because i slept late last night... So today had lessons, then had a class lunch, which sadly didnt last long cos we were all fast eaters, and then went back to class for class deco, which became group deco cos not everyone stayed back as promised. Including the CEC. Shortly after, I had to leave for a geography-cum-biology fieldtrip to labrador beach, to learn about the processes happening at coasts and how the coast is affected, and stuff. We also saw many marine organisms found by Yearhead 3, bio teacher, Mr Law! It was a very interesting experience for all, and I got to see the things that we learn during geography. It was also quite relaxing to just stare at the waves and the sea, though the view wasnt the best...but anything is good just after the tests...which reminds me. I got owned in front of my class by my Bio teacher!! Completely. She told the class that the last test wasnt very indicative of our knowledge, and used me as an example... (I did much better in my first test, really did quite badly for the second) omg I felt even worst after she said that...and I thought I had started to have a liking for bio. maybe its still there, maybe not. Feel quite sad, but im not blaming my teacher cos shes adding marks for calculation errors in my paper. But now, I only wish for some peace and rest. Will be away during the first part of the holidays!

Here's a pic of labrador beach:

I probably souldnt be doing this now, cos im really tired, but just feel like blogging. Just briefly before i fall asleep. Today we met our mentor, Dr Harvey, he was quite a nice person, answered all our questions as well as he could and didnt mind us being late. O_O he even said not to meet him there next time, he go meet us...woa. Its about 2.30am now and I have to wake up 3+hours later for school, and will be going on a field trip to beach tmr, so hope i dont fall asleep and fall into the sea and then float away somewhere...okay im too tired.

Irony
Tuesday, March 04, 2008

Its crazy, but I just cant stop myself from blogging now, cos I just feel so stressed... I simply need to write out how I feel. I havent got much time, cos there are still a lot to do, so i shall just write whatever briefly. I feel so ironic, looking at the title of the post yesterday, when I just wanted time to pass faster. Today, I wish it could go slow for me to complete my work and still have time to mug, and many others I dont wish to repeat... Luckily there will be something special next week which I can look forward to, jiayou!

Can time just pass faster...
Monday, March 03, 2008

Today we had 2 periods of geography, and its sort of tiring, cos I have to collect 4 things at one go: 2 geofile worksheets, 1 reflection on video, and the geography files. And I just got reminded that I will be going on a field trip this thursday to labrador beach, and although this just might (just might) sound fun, it really came at the wrong time, cos this is the time when I feel is the busiest! Going to have a short life if things keep going this way, lol. Still have many assignments due soon, and havent started on them yet...

We also got our results for 2 tests back today, and I am quite happy with my results for maths (thankfully), but not so much for chinese. Just managed to scrape a 70% for chinese so, phew. But many people thought that it was a tough paper, so it wasnt tooo bad. For maths, I was so worried again for my marks, cos Mrs Lim was giving an unhappy face when she passed me my paper...but I realised afterwards that it was the same for everyone, cos she was just scolding certain people for being late...shan't name them. And I did pretty well! Yay, with just one single careless mistake.

Met our temporary physics teacher today, felt that he was okay and some people actually found him quite nice cos he was using dota to teach us things and make us feel happy.
Eg1.
Mr Wong: Which is your favourite character in dota?
Us: (some more than the others) Pudge! (in an attempt to suan)
And so he changed is wallpaper to Pudge, lol.
Eg2.
Mr Wong: So the converging lens is like Pudge, the middle is thicker, and diverging lens is like...crystal maiden, the middle is thinner.
(note: please dont blame me for factual inaccuracies)

So thats about all today, shall return to doing my work!!

Extra is just not enough
Saturday, March 01, 2008

After what I like to consider as an extra day yesterday, I feel that I am still under lots of pressure and work to be done, like the Social studies project my group members and I have been tasked to do, bue on tues. and the english blog due on friday. and the mentor meeting on wed. and the tests. Its sad to see everybody working so hard...although it might be good.

Please go to Lin Jin's blog and find out about the escaped terrorist from Jemaah Islamiyah and alert the police if you see him! He is a threat to all of us!!

Doing maths now...school is not fun nowadays, all I can think of is work...okay, and friends and teachers too, and the suanning that is oh-so-common in class, and keeps me awake during certain lessons, haha. How i wish all the work will just get done and i get full marks...ok, fat hope. Better do work now. have already 'enjoyed' myself at Bennah's house today, ...doing project.
