除夕
On 除夕，I woke up late in the morning haha. Had quite a good sleep. Congrats to me for sleeping 8 hours!!! =D I didnt really sleep as much the next few days. Anyway, my whole family, Dad, Mum, Sis, Jim and me, we went to our P. Aunt's house. In the afternoon there wasnt much to do except catching up on each other, our lives and stuff. We also met our third aunt whom we have not seen for many years cos she migrated and just returned to visit us this time after giving birth. Lols,so that also means that there's a baby! =) His name is Jamie! Here's him! SO cute! haha
So yea, we had our reunion dinner at night which was like sumptuous...thanks grandma!! =) After that I went for something I never thought I would. Go for a CNY getai. lols. Possibly because of 881...I dunno, but I went for it. Yep it wasnt too bad, just lots of things I couldnt understand, haha. And I think there are more and more young people at the getai these days...nothing wrong la, but dunno why they r doing that. And another question that came to mind was: Why do people want to sacrifice their own family reunion dinner to perform...sigh.
Anyway, we didnt stay for the whole thing, and went back to rest for a while before going over to our M. grandma's house at about 11pm.
There, we prepared for our annual show, haha. Its something we have every year in our family, where all the youths will come up with a short skit to welcome the new year!! This year is the year of the ox, so naturally, it would be a story regarding an ox, haha. We all dressed up and acted, lols. Had lots of fun. Then after that we just went home and slept, getting ready for the first day of the Chinese New Year, with all the visitings and fun! =)
大年初一
The usual thing for this first day, that is, giving our parents our greetings! This year I seem to have a mindblock when I wanted to say all those nice 4-word blessings. So I didnt manage to say a lot...sad. Then we went over to our M. grandma's house to eat our traditional 初一 breakfast, haha. Took a family photo together too, then went to our godfather's house! We dont meet that much cos all of us are busy, but he hasnt changed much, still the same enthusiastic collector of many things. Lots and lots. He has already moved house so many times, each one bigger than the last, but nothing seems to be able to house all his stuff haha. Had a long and interesting talk, while sipping tea, haha. Then went over to our P. aunt's house. Where we had dinner, then went as an extended family to visit more distant relatives. After all the visiting, we went back to our M. grandma's house for dinner, and then the night was spent with our cousins playing an extremely fun but time consuming card game. Haha, so we played till really late before going home, and thats the end of 初一!
大年初二
Today, again, we woke up really late and this time we went to one of our distant relative's house again, where we met our aunt's family, so we just talked and relaxed there for the whole morning, and ate lunch! Then my sis, Jim and I went to meet the rest of the youths in the family, haha. And we did something really interesting...we went to watch a Hindi film!! Lols. Its called Chandni Chowk to China, and we were some of the only chinese watching it, haha. It was a very new experience...watching a hindi flim, cos i think their focus is quite unique, like there were a lot of songs and dances, and lots of twists in the storyline, like when theres a tradgedy, some comic thing can suddenly happen haha. Another problem is also that its rather long...worth it though. Haha. Shant reveal too much about it, cos its like really funny so dont want to spoil it if it happens that any of youwant to watch it. =) Very gl, so maybe Francis will like it haha...no offense... But fyi, its only available in a few places!
Nothing much after the movie...just went to eat a final dinner, before going home to see all the school related stuff appear. I just wish I would stop being reminded of school stuff during 初二...

I didnt gamble much this year, but lost more money than ever.
