First week of the semester...
Saturday, July 04, 2009

If it was a normal school term, I would have started the post like this: One word "tiring". But (thankfully?), there comes the H1N1 outbreak, which currently has infected...about 700+ people in Singapore, from what i hear. Lol, but anyway, in this time of 'danger', our school still refuses to close, but has put in place quite a number of measures to ensure our safety. And this safety, I think, includes the preventing us from dying from our workload. Yep, so thats one side of it.

The other side of the story: My first week started off on Sunday, the day before the first day of school. You could call it last minute work, or you could call it last minute fever, but our group for Greenwave, Mervyn, Dominic, Ben Chin, Teng Chuan and I, were rushing to finish our book. Everything from the writing to the formatting, printing and book binding. And so, that night, I slept at about 3 am...O_O Not exactly what I would call a decent night's sleep before the start of term.

The first day was fine, it was really nice to see all my friends back in school and catching up with them. Ok, maybe except the part where I felt like sleeping again. So, then came the Blessing/Curse in disguise...dont know which it is. So, we got an extension for the greenwave project from Dr Chionh! She criticised everything from top to bottom. And then gave us 1 more week. So, as you should have guessed by now, my first week was kinda...busy.

Im NOT blaming the greenwave project nor my fantastic group members, but just saying Im a teeny bit tired. For the next few days, I have been trying to finish up homework and catching up with stuff, also busy with some of the misc. stuff like filing for some of the subjects, and oh yea essays. So my sleeping time, from about 1+am got delayed to about 3+ every night, and there was one night I slept at about 4.30am...the time between wednesday and thursday, which was to research more and rush edit our book before we sent it for printing. (it was rejected because it was 'unprofessionally done')

On Thursday, I needed to edit the greenwave book again, and after that, go for a CIP meeting with the committee, and so it was a work-after-school kinda day. And the meeting ended at about 9+pm, so it was leaving me feeling really shagged. =( Only had 1+ hours of sleep, and then out schooling and working till 10pm...Yep, so it got kinda worse when I reached home, but I still managed to start to do sme work. Soon, Jim went to sleep, but I was still there, but the next thing I remember was waking up in the morning and realising that I fell asleep unwillingly...ang my work was still halfway done, on the com. But I didnt think so much, and just printed that out haha. Eventually maanaged to finish betfore the lesson, haha.

It wasnt really that much about how falling sleeep unknowingly disrupted my school work, but really, more about how my sleeping situation is getting worse. Its starting to freak me out... Yea so, I will try to do something about this! =)

Oh and in case you were wondering why I mentioned greenwave so many times, its probably because of all the effort the group has put in for this book, and the fun I've had in the process. Yes, ite tedious...but its fun, and we are all rather motivated to finish this and do a good job! =D Haha, so thanks so much greenwave peeps. You have been so so wonderful. Hope we continue this! And as Mr Koh says, "we only want the top!" Haha

Other than the greenwave peeps, of course there are also other friends, who are so nice! Sending smses to ask about me, and reminding me to sleep early, etc. Haha! =) Thank you so much! They are really really nice to see, esp while Im on my way home after a long day and a short night... I appreciate them! =) Just apologise if I cant seem to be fee and cant see you guys sometimes though...=(

People of all types exist in the world I guess.

Note: this is messy because Im falling asleep again...sorry ! =(
